i checked the tyres on my 200 tdi disco today and i noticed the near side rear is wearing heavily on the outside edge only , the pressure is ok ( 32psi ) so im a bit stumped as to what else it could be , any ideas thanks

yeah it drove normal in high and low range but i did reverse for about 20 yards after i took it out of diff lock incase it was working

i dont think its working cos it made no noise at all ( dont know if it should ) and i didnt feel anything like you do when you put it in low range . its not important but i thought it might be an easy fix :o

ill add my bit to this debate cos i know a bit about running on red and being dipped by customs from previous experience . there is a chemical marker in red diesel but when customs knocked my door about 18 months ago ( an ex girlfriend grassed me up ) they dipped the tank on my peugeot 406...

quick update on this one . i went to pick it up today and the bloke selling it said he had lost the v5 and the mot but i could easily get replacements :rolleyes: , im not an idiot so i had my deposit back and walked away . i still got the bug tho and im going to look at an L reg discovery...

thanks for the quick replies everyone but call me ignorant ( or stupid :o ) but how do i clean out the intercooler ? if i have to take it out , is it a big job bearing in mind its got air con so the condensor will be there somewhere ?
