Yeah,having great fun. Luckily it went halfway through the last section so didn't affect my score too much,in fact i came 1st in class! :D :D the only problem was how to bodge it to drive the 20 miles home. So with the aid of a coke can,some old rag (to bung the hole in the rear flange) a cane...

Did my second trial today in the series and had a great run,even got my first clear section :D The day went well and we managed to do 4 sections before dinner without no problems,a quick break with a few pots of tea and a couple of burgers and we were ready to go again. All was going good...

A V8 isn't that hard to fit to a series,the engine mounts to the original mountings on the chassis by using different mounts bolted to the block,you can use a series gearbox you just need a conversion plate and the flywheel needs to be drilled to fit the series clutch and a modified spigot bush...

The one on the top of the pump increases the amount of fuel at low boost so could be that that's causing the problem,did you turn it clockwise to increase fuel?

Small world,I'm originally from Hanging Heaton but now live in Wales :) The guy we got it from lives in Aberdare south wales and only had it for about 8months,now we have it it lives in west Wales. Some pics of the build would be nice if you have any ;)

Just curious really,be nice to know where it was built and when and if anything is uprated (axles,suspension etc) :)

Cheers Alan,I was very nervous on the first few sections,don't know why cos I've offroaded for years just not done any trialing,its not as easy as it looks though. I came 3rd in class and was pleased with that,even more pleased cos Trev in his range rover based trialer came 4th in the same...
