What have you done to your Landie today.

Filled mine with Bio. Tomorrow I need to see if I can work out where it's coming out again!!!!!

Landrover I.D's For sale on ebay!

Ironocally, this is the law shooting itself in the foot. You can put personalised plates on a vehicle provided they aren't NEWER than the original reg. Obviously, making a car look newer would be the rip off. Putting older plates on a car is fine, as obviously it's worth less if older so...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Stood in the cold and rain watching someone else change my brake pads. I know I should have done it myself, but it was raining ;)

What have you done to your Landie today.

Parked mine for the week because I just realised I've got no brake pads left. Haven't got time to fit new one's until the weekend. Also had a look to try and find where the oil is leaking from - seems to be somewhere near the fuel pump and so now wondering if it's actually diesel oil...

    Trip to Wales??

Well 90boy can tell you which bits are the same, but I did most of the route in my standard Disco last year - and that's with the front valence still on ;-) I did have AT tyres though.

    Labour fuel tax cheating

I think the answer you want is in your question ;)

    Trip to Wales??

Well, you being full up on numbers decides it for me. I have a very important and busy day on the 1st so wasn't sure whether I should 'play' on the weekend before. Decision made. I need the job to pay for the play ;-)

What have you done to your Landie today.

Filled mine with bio Then swapped the headlight bulbs for super bright 'up to 90% brighter' ones....... 90% brighter than what - a candle?? Could barely tell any difference in the daylight. Hopefully they will be better when I try them in the dark. If not, I've just got a pair of...

    Trip to Wales??

Well, I'm still hoping to work out a way of joining you guys.......but new job starts Monday.....pay won't start until end of Feb earliest.....so can't be definite yet.

    Trip to Wales??

The water that was last - and so will be first - worries me. Going the other way the front nearside will go slowly in the water as you maneuver in.............now where is the air intake again.

    Trip to Wales??

Not my videos - but better than mine. I was looking for one with the water......... This are from a recent Strata/Wales trip YouTube - rh020487's Channel

    Trip to Wales??

My Disco did strata without any mods.......not sure if the water level was typical though. It certainly came over the bonnet !!! Scared the life out of me !!

'97 R Reg Disco - Fly by wire or not?

A lump of solid urine in a manual !! Takes a bit of practice in an Auto Normal road driving, auto has naff all engine braking, but under 30mph you can persuade it to slow. Low box, no problem at all. So Brakes are what you need if you're daft enough to drive on tarmac ;)

'97 R Reg Disco - Fly by wire or not?

But which is better? FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We could have a proper thread about the pros and cons of autos off road - but I don't think LandyZone is capable of a proper discussion ;) I can't compare as I've only ever driven auto off road - but I've had no complaints. And...

    300TDi Disco MPG query

Now I was just going to mercilessly slate that, but not sure about LRs, I'll have to think about it. Anyway, for normal cars, the extra drag of opening the windows is about the same as the air-con. So doesn't make that much difference. Of course, if you only open the windows at slow...

'97 R Reg Disco - Fly by wire or not?

The engine sensors that the ECU uses - I believe they are often a problem. If the sensor brakes the car wont run!! AUTO is fine - personally I wold take auto over manual every time. But I wouldn't turn down a good manual just for that.

Is there a SAT NAV System that records routes

Is that one really free??? You can use Google Latitude to share your location with others, but I don't think it tracks. I have one of these, which is tiny and very low power - I also use it for walking where battery use and weight is very important. It tracks you route and will geotag...

    Fire extinguishers - views

We are 2 minutes WALK from the fire station :) Until they close it to save money :( Good points though Sean. I know the fire safety stuff, but my kids are now at an age where I should be telling them rather than them relying on a parent to help them. Even a 6 year old can know to...
