Annoyed now !!! Found a really cool one I want, but as it's a new style 02 plate I can't put it on my old Disco.......so no use to me :(

There's G17TAC .....but what's the point in having it if it's not right !!!! I could settle for T1MCT as it has TIM C and MCT (my job) in there - but then I'd need to buy a new car to put it on even if I could get hold of it ;)

Just been reading my handbook. It says DO NOT press the throttle when starting. Then it says that if it's -5 deg or colder, fully depress the pedal, and release as soon as it fires. Mine started perfectly at -8 last week no throttle at all, then tonight at +2 I had to have 2 goes at...

Err on my auto, lifting off the throttle does bugger all - virtually no engine braking......almost as though it had a torque converter or something ;) I use the gears to slow down - those things labeled 1 2 3 on th stick in the middle ;) No one's mentioned the Diff Lock yet - do you...

Well, mine's been running fine off Palmer's stuff.....apart from a bit more effort to start. Needs cranking for 10-15 seconds rather than instant start of Doozel. Though they were shut this morning so stuck with expensive Doozel for now.

I thought it had to be vertical and on the first vertical part of the vehicle - ie on the roof bar or in the windscreen not allowed as it's not the FIRST vertical part. I may have been mis-informed though.

If the choas has died down and it fits in between visiting relatives. My extended family is also extended geographically....I have a brother in Plymouth and one in Scotland somewhere, and parents in Sheffield !!

I've got one weekend left before Xmas, and the wiring is still going on, then the plumber comes in, then I have to tile the bathroom, ...though I have got the bathroom half boarded :) We're having the carpets fitted for us so that should only be a case of moving furniture around...

Not my DIY.....one of the previous owners. Looks like every time they wanted another plug socket, they just tapped nto the nearest cable. We managed to trace lots of the wiring back, and as far as we can tell the whole of the kitchen and the heating system is running off the back of a plug...

Spent hours last night trying to find where the central heating is powered from, as it had blown a fuse we couldn't find. Turns out the previous owner had put pine paneling over lots of things including the fused switch for the heating spur :eek: Also turns out out ring main isn't a ring...

Well, one part of my plan for the weekend has failed - I can see anyway that I will have a snorkel by then :( Hopefully will still get to go though. House re-wire has brought up lots of extra DIY jobs to do.....such as board the loft, decorate several rooms, etc.....and it's not even...

It must be more than that ... it's £60 difference :eek:
