there aint a seperate fuel pump on a td5, all independant on the injector and cost a fortune, so lets hope it aint one of them

td5 misfires are normally to do with oil entering the elec harness inside rocker cover. try cleaning before replacing

or your handbrake sensor is playing up

I have heard this too, apparently the TD5 head has virtually no tollorance to take a skimming, seems odd that the engine designed from scratch, in house by landrover, with a head thats close to failure and no adjustment able.

many thanks for the replies on fuel filter, will tackle when the other service items arrive from ebay, haha, genuine parts, fraction of cost. However, still cant see the spinner location, maybe not looking hard enough., anyone else elaborate?

its probably the diff internal oil seals behind the bearings.

SRS/airbag module is under the passenger sear, if SRS light is on dash try unplugging the yellow multi connector, and reconnect. Should work as yours seems to be in default mode. Worked for me

go TD5, you will never regret it

very easy job with imited tools. Paddock parts use Mintex which are landy spec and great to use. hardest part is the effort to remove the wheels, go on, you will save bucket loads

Mine does the same, 50-55mph, and that is the best the td5 offers, got it checked too, and was reset. seems high revs, but thats how the adaptive system limits ALL driving styles. if you want better economy and quicker lock-out, fit a SAIL
