woul a pipe collapsing cause it to blow oil through the cooler?

hi all.i hope someone can help.my disco 300tdi just started bloowing loads of black smoke from the exhaust and lost power,i pulled over and the engine revved and didnt want to stop when i turned it off,i had to stall it quickly.i disconnected the pipe between the intercooler and inlet manifold...

is there any play in the front prop uj?

update:fitted a new rocker shaft and pushrods and all seems well.thanks for the help

hi.i tried the injector and it didnt change anything so i took the rocker cover off and 1 of the valves wernt operating so i took the rocker carrier off and it came apart in my hands,its snapped,1 of the pushrods is broken and all but 2 of the rest are bent.when i bought it the air filter was...

doesnt sound promising does it.lol

thanks for the replies but i put 2 posts about it,this post was an attemt to edit the other post explaining that i cracked the injectors 1 at a time and they all slowed the engine except the last which made no difference.the problem occured quite suddenly as i was driving

just to update.i changed the master cylinder and it seems to be sorted.thanks for the help

thanks for that.i just been out in it and i noticed that a front brake is squeiking so i suppose that could be sticking and heating the system causing it to preasurise.will have to have another look in the morning

hi all.any ideas what can be making the rear brakes on my 97 disco bind and heat up?as im driving i can feel them dragging and the pedal gets tight as if the system is preasurising.i repalced both rear calipers today but still the problem remains.

the 200 prop is on a chassis at my mates otherwise i would have done

hi.i just got a 300tdi disco and i think its got a uj going on the front prop.does anyone know if a 200tdi front prop is the same as i have 1 with new uj's in it.

i didnt try it when i bought it cos i didnt think that the belt could be too short.live and learn.there is no way the belt is long enough.i will have to get another seat with the seperate base as suggested.thanks all.Andy

hi all.i just collected my newborn daughter from the hospital but had to have her in the front as the rear belts wernt long enough to go round her baby seat.does anybody know if there is a cure fir this?ie-different belts that can be fitted.thanks,Andy

i have access to an arctic trailer full of uvo,i just filter it and chuck it straight into my 200 disco.seem to run fine on it
