Guys, I've found it! It's the wire that goes from the ignition switch the pre heaters! I removed that and started it on the key! I'm guessing the switch it shorting out via the heaters! So I need to check the wiring to the heaters and I'll replace the ignition switch! Cheers guys!

I can see a lot of you don't like the push start idea! Fair enough I'd agree if it was road use vehicle but when I was watching the mud monsters challenge a few weeks back, a lot of them had push buttons! Can't see the problem with having one with ignition switch for a off road based...

It's just easier than making sure the key is with or if the key gets lost! As I say it's under lock and key with alarm! It's to be taking out on the trailer behind my 90

Hang on guys! This is for off road only! Building it as a winch challenge truck that's why I'm not worried about security on it as it's living in the workshop that has an alarm! I want to fit a simple ignition flick switch and push button so I haven't got to worry about having the key ect

This fender I've bought is as stripped inside so it should be a fairly easy job just need to know what coloured wires got to what on the ignition barrel

I'm in Crawley Sussex mate. Yeah I think I might put a 100amp 300tdi alternator on and up grade the battery as it's a older Bosch battery looks like it needs renewing! Any suggestions on what size? Amp hour ect? Luke
