Hmm, interesting reading but not much help. It never mentions on the zip line site what the max strain on the rope is. However they do say that most lift/pull cables have a nylon core to give some bounce rather than a jerk, so maybe this solid core is not good. I haven't even got a winch to put...

I work in a magical land, where people give me weird and wonderful items all day long. Today I was given a full size zip line. Its not a kids one, the wire is half inch thick, and its about 100 foot long. So naturally I couldn't let it go to waste.... Does any one know anything about zip lines...

The brass plugs of rads work really well as they have bleed screws on them so no need to undo the whole plug to bleed the system. And I believe the block bleed bung is just under the exhaust manifold toward the front of the engine. It is quite visible when you know where to look.

Can the system be linked to a network at all? If it does, you could just sync the drives with one at home, then that would keep them both current, and not require you to remove the drives every 5 min.
