Went with metre long waterproof LED strip stuck to tailgate, power removed from the old light. Cheap and easy... WOW! Lights up like the 4th of July back there and very unintrusive !! 'Borrowed' the idea from another forum member - thanks !

Looking back when I was looking for my P38 with no clue....I bought first one I saw which happened to be diesel, which also turned out to be luck more than judgement. As dogsbody says, it is very very quick but no idea why it's so much quicker than most diesels, and some petrols off the lights...

Cured hiccups thanks to Dogsbody (deserves sainthood) - intermittent wiring fault on injector number 4 and begun to change bulbs and fittings to LED....and changed all door handles to chrome (finally a second hand e bay purchase that was value and works...)

Looks good - it's a pretty special colour... What did you use for the door pillars ? Mine are shot and quite like the look of carbon fibre ...

Does anyone know of led replacement bulbs for the puddle lights (I didn't even know I had them on mine !) never worked in the time I have had the car .... May even be seized in...how are they normally removed ? Also the tailgate light that sits underneath .... Can this have replacement led...

I like to live in a fantasy land - where I had the only P38 clocking 30 plus MPG !!! It's about time I had some payback for the thousands I have spent on it .....(all adds up !) It's my pride and joy and I only ever use it at weekends, it runs really bad when cold almost like it's not firing...
