    First timer buying a P38

My god, just don't do it. I've seen new drivers these days on their test. The examiner pops the hood and asks, where the washer bottle is, coolant, engine oil dipstick is, etc. It gets a little more involved in the real world!

    Rear Disc DIY

When I replaced my discs, the only problem I had was I had no impact driver and could not move the disc retaining screws as mentioned, so I drilled them out, which was much easier that I thought it would be. I had meant to get some new screws, but never bothered, I guess the discs will be nicely...

    2.5 coolant bleeding,am i missing somefin

To correctly enpty the system of coolant you must remove the drain at the bottom of that radiator and remove the drain bolt from the cylinder head. If you do not remove the drain bolt from the cylinder head you will not get the system empty. Follow the instructions in RAVE, it's easy.

    mass flow flywheel

DMF's obviously wear just like brake discs, pads, clutches, etc. It's just how it is. When they are within limits they work a treat, changing gears has never been smoother. It's a luxury vehicle, and they cost!

    Brakes and changing fluid

I replaced my brake fluid using the old method, one person in the car and me at the caliper witha tube and old jam jar. Up, down, up, down..... Easy, no need to make a meal of it. My experience of pressure bleed kits is, brake fluid everywhere!

oil cooler pipe/ oil cooler question

Trying to lubricate the thred will not do a thing in my opinion. I replaced my oil cooler pipes earlier this year. One was not as tight as the other and it came off a dream with no problems. The other was welded to the thread and ruined them. I went to pirtek and got a new alloy fitting...
