Ranger rover p38 diesel power tuning chip 1995 to 1999

I fitted a PSI to mine, and they are well worth it, the car was complete crap to drive without it. In fact, I would not have the car without the PSI, I would buy a diesel Disco 3 or L322. I have a manual and find the gearbox fine, dont forget, its never going to be fast with the BMW 2.5...

Brake lights permanently on and suspenstion won't go down

Mines an early 2001 on an X. 2 switches that control the suspension. 1. The rocker that selects ride height. 2. The inhibitor, that when illuminated, stops the car choosing what ride height to use, basically stops it going up and down from 30 - 50, 50 - 30, which I find annoying and...

    Big Brother Is Watching You!!

Martin Lewis was on BBC Radio 2 toady with Jeremy Vine covering parking tickets and how to appeal. He said the first appeal was rejected auto by the Council. He also said that the last stage of the appeal was independent and that 70% of appeals were successful! In Lehman’s terms...

    Intercooler flushing.

So once the intercooler is off. Do you say, pour 500ml in and cover both ends with palm of hands and shake like hell. Then, repeat until reasonably clean?

Road Rage and Wing Mirror victim......

I think this matter will come to nothing unfortunately. I doubt you have sufficient proof you are the innocent party. **** happens. Don't let it spoil too much of your time, thoughts and energy.

    power upgrade dse

There is two Powerboxes for the p38 Diesel. One for early models and for the later models, about 2000 on. Hope you have the correct unit for your car. I will have a look at my Powerbox in the morning, its easy enough to fit apart from one fiddly connector under the inlet manifold. Thats...

    P38 Brake Bleeding

I have used both methods and find the pressure kits messy. With 2 people, the good old fashioned, up, down method is just fine.

Click click click!! Mad Central Locking

The first thing you should do is CHANGE THE BATTERIES in both key fobs. Get decent Duracell batteries from eBay or similar. Mine was doing this all the time, changed the batteries over and problem solved.

P38 - No rear screen wash

Almost certainly. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill folks! Get a new BLACK pump and fit it. If you have front fog lights, just remove the one near the washer bottle (2 screws from behind) and you can gain access to the pump. It's a doddle. I had the same problem. I bought a...

    All present and correct....for now!

The heated seats are common. The heating element in the seat has broke and needs connecting back together. Its quite easy to do. But the thermostat in the seat in these cuts out very low, so they never get very warm, while your in there put a new thermostat in that cuts out higher for a...

    Brake judder.

You apply the brakes and have a judder....so common sence says, look at the brakes. Are they old, worn, etc? Change the brakes first before you get all confused that you may need a new assisted brake drum caliper servo drive master thread valve linear rod......nut!

    p38 diesel oil cons.

I bought my car standard and then added the PSI. It really does make a huge difference, don't think about it, just buy one, it makes the car driveable. 1 litre per 1000 is alot. BUt you should investigate your external leaks and fix them then you can measure what the engine is using. My...
