hi all recently i have been getting problems starting.It tries to catch but just wont.Takes a couple of cranks and each time sounds like its catching.when it does catch i get a bplume of smoke and lumpy idle for a few secs like its gonna cut out but is fine in a few secs. Injectors were...

right i was told by them that the ones form 2002 to 2007 were the same

managed to source a set from a landrover specialist breaker in UK. Thanks guys

hi all seems 2 of my injectors have gone to hell so i was wondering do any none landrover injectors fit the td4 engine cos the landrover ones are ridiculous? its a 2003 td4

right its off to the mechanic today so will give him all those ideas. thanks a lot guys

this problem only started once my intercooler pipe decided to rip itself to death.would that have any bearing on the problem?

sorry to be a pain but how do you check for leak back?

Hi all I'm having problems starting my td4 last 2 weeks.It just cranks and cranks and wont turn over for a while.Also it loses power (thought it was turbo problem but turns out turbo is fine) when you hold high speeds on the motorway.It was recently serviced and the fuel filter was changed...

OK so have discovered that the problem starts if its held at 3k rom for a few minutes and then resets itself after being switched off for a while.Could it be a valve sticking?

right front intercooler hose had a lovely tear in it so replaced it.But the problem is still there. When i'm on the motorway at about 80 i lose all power and cant accelerate.the turbo just wont spool.If i have to stop then and take off it'll spool until i have to hit higher revs in the higher...

i had a loss of power yesterday with a bit of smoke.check your intercooler pipes for any splits.notorious for failing apparently

was thinking hose all right.I'll check later. The noise seems to be coming from the back of the engine though.

Hi all I just got it servied 2 weeks ago and now i'm losing power like crazy. When i go to accelerate i just hear a loud whoosh of air (not turbo spool)up to 2700 rpm and then the turbo cuts out. Turbo was replaced at xmas but the crank filter wasnt changed til march. Any ideas? No smoke or...

Ya i'm sure its an angle issue.It happens on every hill i come to and only once or twice on the flat but thats only a recent thing.it doesnt matter how much fuel i have in either

fuel filter changed the service before last (~20k ago) and no splits in the hoses.Its doing it a bit now too on the flat and seems worse when its cold :confused:
