think i'll get a replacement ABS pump to see if it sovles the problem. Will check car for leaks tomorrow. I am going to get a used pump off of eBay i think from a guy who sell Land Rover parts. Not gonna spend £700 on a new pump.

it was the throttle cable. Had been overtightened slightly. Sorted now.

From a standstill in normal mode i put the foot down and the revs went up to 5000rpm before changing. I would expect that in sport mode but not normal mode. Am i right in thinking this? I mean i was flooring it but still would have thought the gear would have changed well before hitting 5000rpm.

there doesnt seem to be any difference i don't think. The car just seems to be a rocket now in either sports mode or without. It was fun until i realised my mpg had reduced some what.

My 98 4.6 HSE just passed its MOT with ease, surprisingly. I was waiting on the MOT to see if the mechanic picked up on anything with the front end steering/suspension but he didnt. If i hit a bump/pothole etc at 40+ mpg i get a shudder through the steering wheel. I'm sure i read somewhere...

nah my pump is still running constantly. Going into the garage on monday. I think it's the pressure switch on the pump. But it isn't sold seperately so i'm looking for a 2nd hand pump now.

Well a coulpe of the guys on here suggested it and a landrover engineer advised trying this before getting a new ABS pump. I got it off allwheel 4*4 i thnk was £89 inc vat and delivery.
