    wife wants a freelander

My mam is 86 .. she struggles to get in through the back doors because they are a bit narrow for her - the front seat is fine for her though and yes the height is perfect - just thought I'd mention it Good Luck :)

What tyres do you have on your freelander

My Pirelli Scorpion str's are down to 4mm of tread now so it wont be long before I'm looking. I have to have a driving assesment every three years and thats due soon too - so i'll wait till that's done with...I might have to get an automatic but we'll see.

    Flat battery... Weird electrics behaviour

If the tailgate glass didn't drop upon re starting the car then the tailgate will have been out of calibration - sounds like there was not enough power for the glass to drop initially...causing your tailgate probs - not sure about the central locking, probably down to lack of battery power too...

What was the cause of your 3,2,1 Amigos

With the vast amount of people still having the little yellow lights staying on, I just thought a "what happened with yours" might help - all in one place. First experience, mine had 1 amigo staying on constantly - the HDC! one. I searched and asked the questions and I was told to check...

    vanishing water

Did you drain the coolant system before taking off the inlet manifold? How did you fix the leak - new gasket? Did you check the jiggle valve ball bearing was free to move before you refilled the system? Did you bleed at both points while refilling the system? Just so we know the...

    Balls, arse and feck. HGF

I do about four miles round trip to work each day, longer runs at the weekends - mine used 2.5 litres of coolant in top ups over a year...it had a tiny bit of sludge on the inlet manifold gasket when it was changed last year and a tiny bit on the oil filler cap too - but nothing has...

What should I be looking for when buying

Hippo's definitive fred http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/what-lock-freelanders-163164.html Bodywork rust not too much of an issue on Freelanders Underneath, check the condition of the fuel tank cradle for rot. Happy hunting :)

Freelander 1 wont start after cutting out

As htr asked ...does the starter turn mate ??
  16. B

    starting problem

Corroded or loose contacts underneath the fuse box, maybe. Any damp or leaks anywhere near the starter ? At night or in the dark somewhere ..get someone to start it while you watch for any sparks.
