I dont really know much about the accelerator pedal switch - other than it was recommended that I should check mine when I had the yellow hdc light staying on...turned out that mine didn't have this switch fitted. Other things that I was told to check were (bearing in mind mine is a 1.8)...

3000 euros seems very expensive for a 2003 1.8 Freelander with 170,000Km on the clock I don't think I would pay half of that here in the uk, (knowing what could happen with hg) If you really want it - get a professional inspection before you buy..;)

Well in the time I've had my 1.8, the engine has cost very little to maintain no more than any other engine apart from upgrading to prt stat and pipes and a new header tank - its just been the standard service parts. Them that don't know and run their 1.8 for months without looking under the...

Ok :) Has yours got the speed sensor on the accelerator pedal (potentiometer)...? I've read that problems with this this can cause hdc yellow to come on.

Is it a 3 door? If it is then there is a micro switch to to tell the ccu that the roof is on or off If the roof is off then the tailgate glass automatically drops down out of the way If the roof is on then the tailgate glass functions normally ..or should lol. This switch could be playing...

Wish I'd fitted polybush ones :( ...my standard replacements are thumping again within a year of fitting.

The Tailgate glass is designed not to work on the dash button if the ccu does not know the position of the rear wiper. I did some tests for someone last year - one was to remove the rear wiper fuse and try the tailgate glass dash switch - it didn't work, (only tried with the tailgate closed...

I don't think the window is designed to come back up when the tailgate is open - unless I'm wrong The dash switch for the tailgate glass wont work until you have got the rear wiper working again - check to see if the rear wiper fuse has blown ;) Oh and pop in ere ... Introduce Yourself - Land...

Check for leaks from underneath the bell housing - gearbox out job if the slave is on its way out.
