Your belt is probably loose ! Tighten it up.

I broke the piece of metal clasp that holds the hi / lo selector bar onto the leaver on the gearbox. Ive bought a new one, but the leaver is in the wrong place, stopping me from getting the pin out. Can i move the small leaver by hand or do I just need to spend 2 weeks trying to saw the pin off...

I have a 200tdi discovery. Want to buy a snorkel for deep water wading but i also drive a lot of very overgrown lanes where clearance is an issue with trees etc. IE, no wing mirrors and heavily dented roof. On my old fourtrack I kept bereaking off the homemade snorkel as it got stuck on trees...

What is the general reccomendation for diff protection on the discos. Ive looked at the cheaper bolt on jobs that are the same shape as the diff and the QT ones that are angled away. Are there any other decent options ? I assumed its pretty much common sense to buy one for each diff ? :confused:
