Yeah checked window and door was shut which they were. All seals look good. I wondered if it could be the plastic behind the door panel missing or something like that.

Anyone have any ideas why when I drive my disco the other week it sounded like the rear o/s door was ajar or the window was slightly open. :(

Thanks for the offer MJI but as far as I can make out it's all good. Scary the thought that someone was driving it round with the roll bar held on with only one bracket and that was to small.

Yeah the bracket they used was about an inch wide but used the wider ARB rubber bush. Some people hay. I haven't found any other bodge ups yet but I've just finished welding on the sills so I've yet to have ventured higher up than that yet. Watch this space :D

Yeah that's the plan, although I'm going to just use a nut and bolt so I can offer the proper bracket up and mark and drill the hole spot on.

They look the nuts if you pardon the pun, but I need to fab the bracket up first then I think it will have to be a nut and bolt job. It's a shame I couldn't remove them to make them up agin as it's a bit of a ****e place to work on them.

That is fantastic. Just what I need. Now I can see what a mess mine are really in. Mine don't have any of the welded nuts like in you picture. They look like they have been torn off, which is worrying how they actually managed it. Thanks again. More welding ahead :(

Thanks Simon, but I have bought those parts all ready it is the actual part that's welded to the chassis that the clamp bolts to that I'm after as the Muppet who put 1 dodgy undersized clamp on has ripped the bracket on the chassis up.
