Yes m8 tip- dip will stop spatter build up on your tip an nozzle, or anti spatter spray does just the same, jus don't use them in excess or again it will effect the weld

Hi all, I require a new transfer box on my 1989 2.5td defender, and was wondering which transfer and gear box will fit? Can I swap for any? I think it's got a lt230 in at the minute

Just had another look and I tried to a crow bar on the sliding bar thing in top of transfer box inside casing and that thin is stuck in there, in low gear, still can't find the grub screw but will have a look tommorow after all the oil spilled has soaked up from underneath the truck, Could...

Do you mean the bar I can see after taking the casing of??? Can I slacken that and lubricate the bar?? It's full of oil? And can I do that whilst she in gear?

The leaver is not free at all, I'm currently stuck in low now and I have taken the casing of the top of the transfer box so to straighten the leaver as I bent it abit trying to force her out of low ratio and i'l just have another look for this grub screw :-)

I have a bad transmission oil leak coming from the rear passenger side wheel! A couple of weeks ago I had the wheel come of and the hub droped to the ground, I can't see any damage but it's leaking transmission oil through the centre of the wheel, I have changed both inner and outer seals and...

Sorted the linkage out, but it seems very very stiff trying to change from Hightower to low ratio, I think this is why the linkage is coming loose

After having trouble selecting hi to low gear ratio I decided to have a look at the linkage it seems that the end of the rod was loose were it fits into the yoke after tightening it up I realised that the yoke has opened up and the linkage came loose again, should there be a washer or something...
