Welcome. Sorry it took so long to welcome you.

    Hi to you all

Welcome. Good choice of landy. True that it will eat time and cash but easy to work on and parts are cheap and readily available. Lots of advice here if you do have trouble.

Low fuel light and reversing lights.

Mine too is supposed to glow, I know this as every now and again it comes on to tease me as I can't work out where the bad connection is.

1967 series 2a 2.25 petrol front brake back plates??

May be a silly question but why do you need new brake plates?

Low fuel light and reversing lights.

Yeah thought it was a bit odd. But it is fun when people tailgate you.

    Stolen Disco

Thats true, leaving your engine running not attended is stupid but the fact is another landy has beeen stolen and it makes me sick the amount of land rovers stolen as I see it in the stolen section. Don't give a sh*t about the gaylanders though, ship em off to Poland.

Low fuel light and reversing lights.

Great. I have a petrol engine so that answers the fuel light and the fact it is on a knob means that the switch in the box is being bypassed I would assume?

    hello everybody dellboy here

Not just any gaylander but a gaylander with a body kit!

Low fuel light and reversing lights.

Got the series III as you may know by now which is a 1973 model and I have never come across a low fuel warning light as mentioned in another thread tonight. Does it have one and how does it work. Also the reversing lights on mine are on a pull out switch like the hazards but I am sure that my...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Having fitted the new exhaust on the series III 88" the other day in the dark with a torch, today loosened everything off and made sure that this time it wasn't touching the chassis before tightening it off. Much better.

advice needed - best canvas-back landy?

Still got a 88 hard top (which you could convert to canvas) 2.25 petrol which is my only vehicle but top speed and fuel economy would put me off long journeys. Maybe with an overdrive but not had one to experience it.

advice needed - best canvas-back landy?

That doesn't sound like you want anything like the K reg series III 2.25 petrol truck cab, canvas back 88 that I owned then. Try diesel with overdrive or something with a more modern engine perhaps. Still looks the same.

    1969 swb series 2a resto

Oli, well done for rescuing it when it may well have gone to the scrap yard. Is it rude to ask how you came across it and how much you paid for it?

    exhaust

One more thing, it did not come with studs for either downpipe or inlet. Get the brass nuts for the downpipe too.
