Don't be afraid of wiring it is just a case of knowing what goes where. check the wiring diagram and see where the wires for the indicators go. Not much help without showing you I know but please check the diagram as it only applies to a small bit.

I too had a similar problem and in my case it was the master cylinder. I also had no noticeable fluid loss. Good luck, simple system there aren't that many things to go wrong.

Restore to standard and ride the bike.
