landy tdi lumps are goodfor about 250k miles. and that between oil changes sometimes:D but seriously get a gooden and it'll go forever get a baden and it'll never be right and cost you alot on the way:)

not sure yet. if i realisticly think i can actuaaly put the td lump in i'll keep it, if not i'll take it down the breakers minus tdi lump and get a credit note for couple hundred quid

spoke to me local breaker aswell. good take off injection pump and turbo manifolds and oil pipes (to make it fit 90) all comes to £75+vat. £50 for pump+ 25 for manifolds etc. :D sorted

i have been to see it, not as bad as you would expect for a dog from the bay. engine sounds sweet but just lots of smoke untill 1500 rpm.

mpg wise if your harsh about 12-14mpg if your nice to it about 17-20 and about 22-25 on a long cruise at a richual 70. my dad had a 3.9 disco on lpg and rarly got more than 20mpg but with lpg at less than half the price of petrol, an equivelent mpg of 40 wasn't unobtainable. bargain

there might be a breather vent on the timeing casings. there will probaly be a short bolt next to it that will need inserting before deep wading and removing afterwards. gearbox breathers may need extending aswell.

chassis any good? for off road use only.

im lucky in that im less than 20mins from a independant dealer. they only deal with landrovers and can get new stuff genuine and non genuine and sell it to me (valued customer in every weekend since i was 15) at trade prices. however 2 years ago they would be breaking 2 or three landrovers at...
