i had overtightened my bearings, have sorted that now but i still have the blody vibration, going to check the preset thing tomoz after work, if not i will check everything else grrr cheers for the photos they are a big help i did some reading up about setting it too

it did seem a little stiff, but it did spin. i tightened it fully and then backed it off a bit as advised before.

i havent had my defnder long but the whel bearing went the other day so i replaced it. now when i get to about 35 and only while accelerating it shudders when staying at a constand speed it is fine and when slowing down it shudders verry sligtly, would this happen if i have tightened the...

it could possibly be saved but the front has had it the front x member (under the rad) has been mangled at some point god knows how, and the ends where the bumper mounts on have seriously had it. on the passanger side its right back to the suspension mount almost i can find the ends i need but...

i stripped it down and the first bearing that should have been there was in pieces. i have robbed one from my spare parts discovery for now and all seems to be going ok so far... cheers for the replys. jake

jacked up the car yesterday and the passanger side fromt wheel dropped and the axle stayed still, not good. the whole hub is moveing right back to the disc, help me.... cheers jake

right i just got home from work and felt the hub and its hot... the other side is cold as it should be do you think the housing has run dry of oil/grease, if so i dont have any gear oil, engine oil is the thickest that i have or i have normal grease, would this do till i can pick up some...
