Got my kit from Ashcrofts, quick delivery too. Cleaned everything off today with White Spirit and had a closer look, still think its the sleeve. Done another clearer video below, what do ya think??? I'm gonna press the bearings off tomorrow and I think we'll know more then.

Well, after the rigmarole of removing the bl**dy thing I've now come to disassemble it and I think I've found the culprit of the loud 'CLUNK' going forward to reverse and back :confused::confused::confused:. Now I'm no expert in these matters and have strictly followed the LT230 rebuild manual...

The transmission 'snatch' could be either from wear in the transfer box input /output shaft and or the diff (as I am finding out on mine. Just ordered a transfer box refurb kit from Ashcrofts & may need to either adjust or refurb the rear diff as theres quite a bit of play in it

Do you know its history before you got it??? You can get a conversion kit to do away with the doughnut and having a 4 bolt flange in its place. I know Paddock do em see linky below

Got cracking on the Discovery again after a 6 month lay-off due to a knackered back, so this needs curing its a 2 inch by 1 inch hole which is on the near-side rear wheel-arch at the bottom where the chassis leg meets & attaches to the sill. The sill bracket is ok, the chassis leg is fine too...

I have the same the same problem with mine, flickering interior light, which now stays on constantly no matter what I do, other than pull the bulbs. Tried all the tests I could, replaced all the door plungers, checked all the wiring connectors & bulbs, even got a second MFU, still didn't work...

Haha!!! Easier said than done, but I got there. Tried to rotate the bolts & BOTH snapped off so I just resorted to brute force & belted the hell outa them & eventually both came out. Well after struggling somewhat yesterday I managed to cut the 2 chassis bolts off and also ended up cutting off the castle nut as that was seized on too. The problem I have no is that the 2 bolts that hold the fulcrum to the legs will not come out :mad::mad::mad: I've tried allsorts to get them...

Got to replace the A-frame bushes & fulcrum on my Disco, however for the life of me I cannot move the nuts & bolts A-frame to chassis!!! No matter how / what pressure I put on them they're stuck solid. I've bathed them in Plusgas, tried shocking them, biggest pry-bar I can swing on, but they...

Is it possible to remove the transfer box on its own from my above V8 Disco. I've had a look underneath it and other than disconnecting the gear shift, speedo, handbrake, both props and about 6 nuts / bolts it looks like it will detach, only looking at pulling it off the autobox shaft it seems...
