Unfortunately you can't adjust the potentiometer on the Discovery like you could on the Range Rover as it cannot be moved clock/anti-clockwise.

If you've seen my post re. TPS they are virtually impossible to buy new, they are obsolete everywhere, every supplier says the same.

It's a moulded unit, no way to take it apart without destroying it really.

The AES one is not available, I've already checked it:( and the other one on eBay I saw but £250!!!! & it's second hand? I'll see what this one I ordered for the 4.0 - 4.6 looks like, see if I can get it to work / fabricate it.

Sorry Sierrafery, I've looked at that many websites o_O Yep, it looks doable, with a bit of bodging. I'm gonna buy one just to try it, I won't loose anything I suppose. I've done every scrapyard, ebay, gumtree etc. every well known 4x4 spares eg, Paddocks, Rimmer Bros etc. Because they are now obsolete they're nowhere to be found!

Well, just had a quick snoop around the back of the engine & reached down the back where the gearbox is........Found the bloody earth wire that I'd disconnected whist dismantling the top of the engine :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Give it a clean and fastened it to the body & Hey-presto it now...

I've had a look at the wiring diagram for the Spider E103 is its ground which is located somewhere near the nearside rear of the engine bay, as good a place to start as any I think???

Nope, engine won't turn over. I put my hand in the hole where the radio was, and there's what feels like a box shaped thing thats making the noise / vibrating when I touch it.
