In a bit of a quandry........???

Hmmm! think I might just leave it gathering dust in the garage then. I ain't gonna be working on it for at least 6 months after surgery, which I can't have for another 2 weeks due to having to self isolate (covid rules). Just so frustrating when I've come so far :(:(:(

My discovery 1 v8 has no electrics at all

Firstly I'd check all the earthing straps just to make sure they have a good contact with the body and haven't broke or are rusted up.

Disco 2 failed hand break cable

I think the adjuster is actually not in the centre consul, its on the underside, where the cable goes through, unlike the Discovery 1.

Hello I'm asking for advise again (hand brake sorted now thanks to Jamesmartin) My fuel lines (metal parts are very, very crusty) What would be the best way of replacing them? New ones are obsolete so it looks like its make / adapt your own, Would rubber fuel pipe all through from tank to...

    Disco 1 Hand brake cable...Grrr!

Thanks jamesmartin, but the shoe isn't on yet, I've tried it with shoe on, shoe off...... its the spring on the cable its soooooo tight, I can pull it back about 1cm but that's it. It won't pull back enough for it to clear the small gap that where the end of the cable (ball) fits in the lever????

    Disco 1 Hand brake cable...Grrr!

Am I doing something wrong???? Changing the brake shoes on the Disco and I unhooked the cable from the shoe end that connects to the offside shoe. Can I get the bugger back on?!?!?!? Tried all sorts, but the spring that you have to pull back in order to get the cable into the end of the brake...

So frustrating for me, totally rebuilt the top of the engine & the only thing stopping it running is a little tiny sensor similar to a bloody radio knob!:mad::mad:

IF, if you can find a new one. As said before they are obsolete & like rocking horse poo to find second hand and if you do they are ££££ I have a similar product on order and will have to modify it to fit. I've already tried one from a P38 which was a cheapy, but either it was a duff one or the...
