Okay, this could be a dopey question.. not sure. I've got my replacement Crossmember to weld on and was wondering about its finish. What I mean is, is the black painted finish it came with good enough to go over with the Smoothrite or is it just a quick paint job to prevent it getting rusty in...

I use one of these... Change your Brake Fluid today - Hydraulic Br Bleed Tube on eBay (end time 04-Nov-09 16:43:49 GMT) so you don't need close the nip' between pumps.

As above, first thing to do is bleed the system. If that sorts it just for a while with no visible leak then suspect an internal leak.. ie knackered slave or master cylinder.
