It is an auto so potentially there could be a problem with the switch, I'm assuming it detects N&P. I've been underneath and tapped the starter just in case, but even when the engine was turning over it still wouldn't start. Tries to but.... Going to wait and see if the guy turns up tommorow...

Petrolprices.com will show you the cheapest price within 25 miles of any postcode. You can't change how much you are being ripped off, and some area's are worse than others, but you can save a few quid over time if you are heading that way.

Its a Range Rover, thought I'd put that at the top - Oops. Changed the plugs, got a new dizzy to fit etc but it wouldn't turn over after changing the plugs. Rotor arm looks good. Can't even find the ecu and its not OBDII so no error codes unless the ecu has a 4pin plug, in which case I can get...

Tried both mate, N and P. Battery isn't flat, got a spare even. Immobiliser seems to be ok, light goes off when doors are unlocked etc. Pretty handy with a spanner but electrics....

Update Folks Got the haynes manual, but also have another problem now, turn the key and nothing happens. Have checked all the fuses on the centre console, all ok. Read up on the starter and apparently there should be a main fuse box and starter relay on the rear bulkhead, but I can't see them...

Can someone recommend a specialist near Ammanford/Swansea, S Wales please. Would also help at the moment if they were willing to collect the vehicle. Closest I can see above is near Cardiff.

Thanks for the info. Garage has suggested I change the spark plugs first, doing this in the morning. If it still doesn't fire up going to disconnect the throttle potentiometer and go from there. Understand from other topics that the engine will fire up with most of the sensors disconnected.

Done em by hand many times, but with an unknown alloy head didn't want to strip a thread. Cheers Andy

Could anyone advise on the torque setting please, haynes manual is still on order. Fitting NGKBRP6ES plugs cos that's what I could get. If there's a better option then I can change them later.
