and can anybody explain to me the correct way of timing and what degree unleaded fuel with fuel addative should i time the engine at 2500 rpm or tickover i have timed at tickover with vacum removed at 4' btdc p.s i have put to much fuel addative in also?? would this be a contibuting factor??

ok just a little update, checked fuel pickup....no filter---gone long ago lol. stripped carb and found a partially blocked jet, small one under float. cleaned checked the rest of the fuel system all seems ok. took her out and she is 80% better but still kangerooing a little!!! just a quick...

ok took her out saturday, (p.s havent tried your solution yet paul...but will soon) started off ok but ended doing 15mph up long hill home when i depressed the pedal fully i had to take my foot right off or it would conk out. but when out shooting started to slip on a hill put it in low and...

timed it properly with a strobe.....soooo far out it wasnt even funny, also dropped fuel filter hieght.....all working ok

Does anybody have any ideas regarding my series 2a 88" new fuel tank, pipes filter carb pump.....when i hit a hill around half way up i start to kangaroo i havent properly timed it yet it has over half a tank of fuel in her, to stop it i have to change down and become light footed on the...

Ok part two. removed floor tunnel clutch thingy and output shaft housing cleaned all freed everything up in the rain laying on the wet ground at night. put everything back together..........put the drive dog the wrong way around :doh: took it all apart again split my new home made gasket, made...

took dust cover off and noticed shaft nearest driver door very rusted and doesnt look like it has moved for ages, cleaned and lubricated and tapped it inwards....moved ok but not free as i see the other two shafts moving fine, seems to be in two wheel drive guessing as yellow lever is up when...

my friend pulled it up hard as i disingaged 4 wheel drive seems to come right up and still wont engage high and low?

it was stuck in a field for 8 years doing nothing, before they used it in four wheel drive only due to a broken back half shaft .....could it just need a bit of use .....always the glass is half full lol

unless i press the yellow one down

when in four wheel drive soon as it comes out (pops up) i cannot move the red lever into high or low??

dear all i have just rebuilt a series 2a (in under a year) lol and everything is splendid apart from it wont go into two wheel drive?? In four wheel driver with yellow lever down, when you go into low range it pops up all ok but will not ingauge into low or high in two wheel....does it a breeze...

Dear All, i am currently in the rebuilding phase of the 2a and bought some wipac lights and rear light tubs?? i really cannot understand how these lights fit to the original holes in the 2a (lights in grill) just does not make sense?? any ideas???:(
