NATO green all the way! But I am a bit bias :) Mine has been a total of 6 colours in its time, all of them are visible on one part or another of the car!

defender front on series 3 ???

I believe a front panel and bonnet would do the trick, but it doesn't tend to be a very popular move with purists (myself included). The Series 3 Stage One V8's were fitted with these panels and looked ok, I suppose it just depends on what you like. I just think Series' are better looking cos...

I'll send you pic over the weekend of the cab rhino, see if it's what you're after, the roof skin is a bit of a state tho... I tell you what, you're welding and fabricating skills are top notch! This Thread is making for a great read mate :) and damn you work quick! I have 2 bulkhead a-pillar...

    painting my chassis

Everyone seems to have their own preference on chassis protection, but if you're taking the time to strip the Landy down to the chassis you may as well do the job as properly and permanently as you can. I'm in the process of stripping my 2A down to just rolling chassis, bulkhead and engine...

Shame you're so far away from me mate, I could really use that rear door you have! And I have a truck cab spare too, the sides and back are good but the roof is very dented with a couple of drill holes (presumably for recovery lights) :(

    1963 2A LWB front wings

It could be done, but only if done extremely well. There's a chap who did a Series 2 restoration in LRO mag a couple of months back and he specifically mentioned where he got replacement front wing front panels from, I'll have to dig it out for you. I could do with replacing them on my 2A...

Excellent repair on the bulkhead there mate, looks a top job. And again, it's what fillers are for :) The wiring is very similar to what's on mine, there are some jokers about I tell you. I did lol at the glued on panels though!

lol! When removing the tub from my 2A this weekend I found 20 empty shotgun shells in there! Thankfully I also found bits of clay, rather than any body parts! Please keep this updated with plenty of pics :) My 2A project is in very similar condition besides the engine problems so will be...

    erm gears- how many ?

4 forward gears as standard. Overdrive (as far as I'm aware, my 2A doesn't have it) gives you 2 more; 4th gear overdrive, and 5th gear. Get some pics up when you've got her :)
