Started Resto work on my S3

Blimey Jared you have been busy mate! Lovely paint job you've done there too. Makes me wish I'd have done mine in DBG instead of NATO. I learnt that that would have been correct for mine for the year as well! Anyhoo keep up the good work mate, I've got a final list of jobs to do like...

    Looking For A fuel Tank

I believe he's after the rear fuel tank for a 109" mate, here's the link you're after: 599233 LWB Rear tank-Petrol 4cyl/6cyl-post 72/74 (metal clip sender) (WEB EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL OFFER) Not too cheap at £85 + VAT but the Britpart tanks are pretty decent. As Aaron says, give it a coat of...

1973 S3 strip down help please

You'll also need to remove the front wing to gain access to remove the rotted sections and weld in a replacement panel if that's what you need to do. The wings can be a game to remove though due to rusty and awkward bolts. Make sure you have plenty of WD40! I personally replaced all the bolts...

    Squiddy's Series 2A

Keep going squiddy! Slowly slowly catchy monkey and all that :) That's some decent welding you've done there too mate, very neat stuff. You'll soon be reaching that half way stage where you stop taking things and off and start bolting things back together. What's next after the chassis gets...

SERIES 2B 1 Ton Wide Steel WS

When I bought my 2A back in October I noticed it had an odd wheel which was wider than the others. After a bit of research I found out it was the famous 569203 wheel: I whacked it on eBay and someone gave me 200 quid for it! I had no idea they were THAT sought after! FYI it was...

    Series 3 Body Job!

The "smoothed" look was all the rage with the boy racers a couple of years back :D The paint job isn't awful buddy, but I'm sure it will be looking a million times better once you're done with it! PS. LOVING the walnut dash insert!

    series 2a bad paint job

Try stripping it with Nitromors. It's never the cheapest option but it will at the very least loosen up the old paint for you to sand it away or hopefully scrape.

What's you doing to day on your land rovers?

Permission granted! However it's not the worst thing in the world to have a Series specific one of these threads I suppose  This weekend I'll be dropping the fuel tanks back on my 2A's chassis as well as fitting the new exhaust system and rear mudflaps. Could probably get more...
