I spoke to some one about this quite a while ago. As far as I am aware you can add LPG to a diesel, but it is mixed with the diesel upto about 30% As far as I am aware you cannot replace the diesel fuel with 100% LPG, as you can with a petrol engine. As I say this was a good 6 years ago...

there are other things going on....general lack of power about 2000rpm when it gets to 3000 rpm, it throws a puff of black smoke out the exhaust and instantly drops to between 2000 and 2500 rpm.

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has a hawkeye near me. I'm in West Yorkshire, near Pontefract. if not, is it a toll worth investing in? The idependent guy wants 40 quid for the priviliage of reading the fault codes. Read the code 3 times, £120 resell the Hawkeye on ebay £220 covers...

Hi All, Does the helicopter light (check engine) come on when the ECU holds a fault code? Or does it depend up on the fault as to weather the check light comes on. Cheers

If the rear wiper is switched on whilst driving forwards, it sweeps every few seconds (like the fronts on intermittent) If the front wipesr are on and you select reverse gear, the rear wiper will wipe the rear window for you, at a normal speed.

Changed the actuator, no difference. Have noticed that it throws some black smoke out the back end when it hits 3,000 rpm. It a puff of black smoke and pop like a miss fire, then revs drop off to 2,000 - 2,500 rpm

£65 including VAT at the stealers this morning. It's not fixed my problem tho.

OK just found out that if I rev the engine in park, once the RPM hits 3k, it drops to 2.5k then back to 3k them back to 2.5k It seem then that this is not a gear box fault after all. Which would explain why it did not show up the last time the gearbox guy looked at it.

new info - took the number 1 pipe off and cannot feel any vacuum on the tube from the silver donut. reved the engine to about 3000rpm, the tacho needle bounces from 3,000 to 2,500 and up again and down again and up again, etc engine revs up and down erratically. This what it does when...
