Thats what i thought initially, There is the thick green wire and an earth on the disco which meets the red live and the earth on the harness but the yellow live on the iso harness meets a thin purple wire on the disco.. I didnt want to start chopping things up, thats why i bought the iso plug...

There isnt any! Just the nut, the washer, about 10mm gap, then the hub.. Reckon they have perished and fell off ! ? :(

I assume they arent, only bought this defender two weeks ago but i was under it today and noticed the bottom part of the front dampers are loose, the bolt is not tightened upto the hub. same on both sides, i can actually wobble the shocks with my hand, i assume this isnt right but why would it...

If they are badly rotted and ya havent got any money. Break a hacksaw blade in half, drill through it, rivet the bottom of it to the mirror arm and rivet it two or three times into the mirror backing, job done !
