Im seen a G4 Disco 2 the other day with colour coded arches it looked brilliant.

Mine doesnt have the arch rubbers or the sidestrips, IMO it looks cleaner.

I have this problem, especially when the engine/box are cold, it goes away when warm, clutch and flywheel are spot on, lovely and smooth. Virtually no backlash when on and off the throttle. Any idea how long this will last before i drop another box on me head?

Somethings seized up by the sounds of it. Try forcing the clutch fork by hand, or levering it with somehing to determine if the problem lies at the clutch or in the pedal box.

Small pinholes arent noticable (power drop wise) especially on a standard setup. Some turbo cars ive had that run high boost had a small hole in the bottom of the intercooler, a weep hole for any carbon/oily residue to be forced out. If its a small hole it wont make a difference at all, but...

Drove through some puddles today and fanbelt went squeeky, still a little noisy but it will dry off, parked up for an hour or so, i just nipped the shop in the car now and when i started it the engine light stayed on for approx 2 seconds after startup and then went out, didnt do it when coming...

I had the multimeter on em and there was only one with power. I'll give the fusebox a look over tomorrow. Cheers for that.

If your buying one, buy one now (so called summer) they sell for silly money in the winter when everyones scrambling to buy one. Then it doesnt even snow. Ive just bought a TD5 ready for the winter, very smooth on the road and good on fuel also.

Strangely, there was only one live on the Disco, A switched live (the thick green wire) So i jammed the red and yellow wires together (as you do) on the iso plug and it works but its not storing the radio stations into its memory. It'll do i suppose, What a difference though! From one old crappy...

It was a cheap £3 ebay jobbie. I have the old harness for the head unit which is butchered but the i already matched the wiring positions and they are all correct. I'll test em now. Thanks alot.
