Well i removed the rear section, supose its a start... Had to cut it off with a grinder... Wondered why car was a little smokey, was only full of water, Grinder got soaked, little blowhole on the rear box seam, opened it with a hammer, total mess... I can only assume my middle box is full of...

shockwave, mtion sensor thingys, its definitely a measuring or detection device. Electro magnetic, interference wotsit, one of them.

Its possible that it was a test vehicle at some point? For either Land Rover or someone else, where it would measure cabin noise, road noise or something.. Cant be much more than that. It definitely for noise i think.

Wont overheat, you just wont have hot air for the blowers which is a sin, especially in winter.

Aha! Sherlock.. Do you know, if there is any illumination or light on the dash that lights up when the cruise control button is pressed.. Havent got the caron the road yet, worried in case its damaged as the wires caught some heat. Many thanks.

Unfortunately you seem to have overpaid, the only way to get your money back is to wait until someone gives you what you paid for it, which in this climate is blue moon territory, got to sniff the bargains out, never, ever overpay.. Lesson ive learned quite a few times.
