I think you can remove it as it is not required by law on a diesel. The engine will go much better with less back pressure.

Normally the little seal at the front of the m/c is stuffed and the fluid is circulating around the cylinder from the reservoir into the cylinder and back to the reservoir (as I said before) The fluid pressure does not eventually go down to the slave and the clutch stops working.

Hello Mr bm52. If you want to really fly in a 90, try the bmW M52 engined 2.8i. Revvy engine so uses a 1.6:1 transfer box. Great fun to drive :)

The std Defender box is 1.4:1 and the Disco box is 1.2:1 As the 90 is lighter than a Disco or 110 it should be able to pull the longer gears ok. Low range remains the same.
