Yes, its well worth doing. I put one in my TD4 that had around 95,000 on the clock and the transformation is amazing. However, I did do the full MAF/RonBox install so I expect changing the MAF had a lot to do with it anyway. I've not done any scientific measurements with it, but I have more BHP...

Is it a hot acrid smell? Could be that you have a leaky injector seal. Take a look at the top of the injectors, to see if there are any black/sooty deposits around the injectors. Good luck

I had a BMW E46 320d with a problem like this, SOB wouldn't start. Changed the glow plugs.. still no difference. Was there actually any power to the glow plugs? Errr No! Replaced the 100A fuse and booom started on the first crank.
