Hi Docksy, The car has been fine. I topped up with diesel twice before filling up again and setting off to before I set off to Blackpool. All went well all the way there and back so I guess the car hasnt been affected.

The FBH came as part of the 'Cold Climate Pack' (I think) which came as standard on the HSE. Included the heated screen heated wing mirrors as well as the FBH. I guess the Climate Pack was an option.

I managd to pick up a flexible drive screwdriver for the fittings at the back. Made life a little easier. It was a swine to get it all back together because the back fasteners wouldnt align with the ajoining holes. Got there in the end with a bit of brute force and ignorance.

The K&N Filter is a direct replacement forthe paper filter so cold air will still be drawn into the airbox. As you said, if you just fitted the filter and didnt re-fit the top cover, then yo would just get warm air which would reduce performance.
