    Problems whilst driving

There's a how to or instructions somewhere, but you have to run through all the gears, pausing in each and take the reading with the engine still running. If you take a reading with the engine off, it can be way out...

    p38 4.6 lpg do i or dont i??

You beat me to it. The holes in the engine are more of an issue than the hole in the bumper. It's not like you are ever going to remove an LPG system - apart from, perhaps, to install a better one!

    p38 4.6 lpg do i or dont i??

Ecotech in Manchester are £850 for a 4 cylinder engine to give you an idea - and they do the cheapest conversion around and regularly do Range Rovers. Gastech in Warrington are nearer £1300 for a 4 cylinder engine and refused to do one last time I was there as it had a porous block (how they...

A dash cam for less than £12

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V95_fQ9jYOk That is on a sunny day, so you can see the clarity and the reg plates clearly. It's on all the time the car is on and does a 5 min loop record to SD card. So when something happens (like a knob throwing a bottle out of a car) you can just take the...

I also read that there are major problems with some implementations of DPF's and how they regenerate as bio burns at a different temp...

    P38 Petrol vs Diesel

Correct. However, it is cleaner so it's like running with redex. Advice is to change fuel filter after several tanks of bio as it can remove sludge from your tank and pipes that then clog your filter. But TBH, it depends on the state of the fuel system in the first place. Once running on bio...

    P38 Petrol vs Diesel

And the diesel runs very happily on 100% Biodiesel (B100) - the proper refined stuff. £1 a litre if you shop around.

    new addition

If it's a diesel, it shouldn't have a bottom hose. It should be in and out at the top. Hence the baffle which your marble test will check for. (It will have smaller oil cooler hoses at the bottom depending on model)

Overheat - Am I missing something

And name and shame both the make and where you got it from if it doesn't have a baffle because they shouldn't be allowed to trade. The amount of damage you could do because some idiot sells you a fake Chinese rad - or worse still a badly designed rad from a named brand. Mine was an Allmakes one...

    p38 auto gear box issues

I don't want to be a thread-hijacker, but does the OBD law really only apply to petrol. Do diesels (any make) by law, not HAVE to be OBD compliant? That may explain why I couldn't get a 2006 Hyundai diesel to talk to Torque via a bluetooth obd adapter, yet a Petrol Kia of the same age was...

    Insurance issues Springs or Air

The point was, as per title, "Insurance issues Springs or Air" You *have* to legally notify your insurance company because it is a mod that results in the car being different to factory specs. End of. Some insurance companies/brokers (like Adrian Flux for example) will be quite happy and not...

    Radiator woes

Yes. Didn't need the massive tow rating any more, but did still want 4x4 for wet slipway use with a 17ft boat. Got a Hyundai Santa Fe and was more than pleased. But wrote it off :) Now got a Kia Sportage. I preferred the Santa Fe in hindsight, but needs must. Still, they are both the same parent...

Did you check it had a baffle though before fitting it? Mine seemed fine on short journeys. Even on the motorway it was ok. It was only until I went up hill or towed a horsebox did I see a problem :)
