Had to have both mine changed at mot, jacked up and just spun the wheel, sounded like a handful of gravel inside, don’t think there was any wobble. Hope this helps

Mate of mine had a similar problem on his 2006 RR sport was something to do with the rear tailgate lock mechanism, which dealer told him was a common fault.

Don’t know about the 2.7 but the 3.0 had a similar fault read somewhere that it’s something with the “little” turbo spools up and for some reason it creates pressure drop and sucks oil direct from the turbo oil return and blasts it straight out of the exhaust hence the big plume of whiteish grey...
