LPG mpg equivalent to petrol mpg

From memory, lpg has about 80% energy of petrol,so need to factor that in to be a true comparison

    Poorly Disco

Sedimenter should be full-diesel ideally, but maybe some water in bottom.I would undo with nut on top in future-plastic bit snaps easily. As sedimenter was empty, suspect your fuel pipe joints to sender on boot floor-very prone to rusting out. You need to fix air leaks and then prime with fuel up...

    300TDi losing power

classic lift pump failure no grunt on motorways etc

Only had it a few days!!

During brake testing the hydraulics are pushed harder than normal-could simply be a stressed component during the test has subsequently failed-have whole system inspected now and rectify accordingly

    TD5 engine screeching under acceleration

    Brake fluid shelf life!!!!!!!

And the water helps to corrode everything from the inside out

    Glow plugs

Yeah if it is losing fuel prime, via air leak that needs sorting first-my 300 tdi did need its GP's below 0c,but I run biodiesel, not as volatile as derv

    Glow plugs

Without the timer relay it is a bit difficult to tell. The timer relay "full on time" is driven by ambient tempreture, but once glow plug light has gone out,G/P's are still powered at say half power to help with even running and warm up,for quite a few minutes. In your case I would power G/Ps for...

    Glow plugs

I would be tempted to leave the snapped one and just renew the other 3,as long as 3 are working she will start fine

    Help needed - screaming turbo

you can do the work yourself to save money,I had about 4 nuts/bolts sheared but were holding in place with rust-only when a spanner was put on did they drop out,its the gasket that sings in the gas flow-like you used to do with a bit of grass between ur thumbs as a kid. My exhaust manifold was...

    Help needed - screaming turbo

you sure it is the turbo and not the exhaust manifold studs sheared?Put a spanner on all the nuts and see if you can turn em easily, just before you splash out on a turbo

    diesel bug?

Run it through several thicknesses of J cloth in a funnel-just be very careful what is at the bottom is not water-dip a piece of tissue in it and see if it will burn cleanly without spitting-only a small bit mind :)
