    When my Britpart lift pump failed (almost instantly),it ruptured the diaphram allowing fuel into camshaft area.This caused a strong smell of fuel until fixed.Increasing oil level on dipstick confirmed it.     I am coming up to two years of running TD5 on true biodiesel-no issue thus far,previously ran a 300tdi for 2-3 years and yes had to change injection pump drive end seal when it failed.But at 15p per litre,cost savings are massive,already gone past the break even point for TD5 purchase.
