It should be ok in tape but you can get heat shrink that seal the wires this is a lot better than tape

With my center diff lock on I can get up stuff I couldn't with out it I did do some research before I done mod but it does depend on what you use your lanny for I do a lot of lanning so if I snapped a half shaft with tc u are buggered but I can put diff lock in an get home

Mine has been ok I have done diff lock mod only takes about 1 hour and a 300 top turret well worth it... I have had to replace injector harness not a bad job 30 quid from the lanny center
