    Defender door hinge difference

^ What he said, I also think later ones have smoother edges and earlier ones are sharper edges, and they rust like there's no tomorrow :p

    200tdi oil pump drive

Ah right, so do the 'missing' splines go 180○ to each other? Or does it not make a difference? This wasn't even in the genuine land rover service book, thanks for the reply jm :D

    200tdi oil pump drive

Hi all With my old 200tdi in the shed being rebuilt, my dad and I noticed after changing the oil pump that the drive shaft that goes from the pump to the helical gear and the to the brake vacuum pump has one spline 'missing' on both the shaft and the female spline on the vacuum pump drive...

    Puma or TD5 doors?

Hi all I got a pair of like new doors from the Spring adventure and I'm now wondering if they're Puma age or TD5? I've attached a few pictures, just wondering if anyone knows any tell tale signs indicating what they are? I've tried my 200tdi door cards on them and they had a few differences...

Pressure washed the 200tdi block, fitted the new main shell bearings and the crankshaft, just waiting for a new oil pump and new piston/rings to come and the bottom end of the engine can be finished :D

whats the best defender engine ? poll

+1 TD5's are great until they go tits up  Not denying that that you haven't had problems, but my dads had several that there has been a problem with a fuel injector wiring harness, very trivial, but has bricked the engine, but then I've also heard of them still running with a bad...
