Hi all I’ve just bought a second hand AlliSport front mount intercooler for my 300tdi and the sticker decals are pretty naff and old so I wanted to replace them. Yeah got a friend to do the timing belt whilst I was at work and he swapped out the injector for one of his spares and it runs sweet now, chucked it in for £30 :):)

Turns out that No3 injector was caput. All running sweet as a nut now, thanks for all the advice guys!!

Yeah could possibly be vaporised fuel, just thought it was weird that only one of the 4 actually did this. Strange...

Just cracked the injectors a little bit and number 2 didn’t really do much if anything made it sound a bit more tamed but number 3 was bellowing our steam when I cracked the bolt??? Anyone know a reason for this?

How would I go about loosening an injector which part would I loosen? The hex part right at the top that’s attachedto metal pipe?

Quit it with the lingo she’s just coming up to 99k miles now so maybe injectors but I’ll get the belt done this week. Does anyone recommend a timing belt kit? 1996 300tdi N757LAM

Haha I’m not that bad I was obviously very naive to think that the timing pin would be a definite to see if the timing is out my bad as for when it was done I don’t know and by who I don’t know either, the last owner was a bit of a bul****er.
