Two issues here Optical, winter tyres should be no problem even if the bastid call centre does say otherwise. Changing tyre size is another. I think. We have no Scandinavian friends - all dodgy banks and walrus eating surrender monkeys.

I don't think Grabbers would cause any issues. I almost wish..... but Michelins i have. Btw ref your post on similar thread Grabbers are not by any means expensive compared to Pirelli etc. Back to insurance, what I meant was not the tyre - hence no probs with Grabbers - but changing away from...

You have hit my tyre expertise barrier :) but sure someone else will drop by with a response. Whilst being attracted to beefing up tyres I've always been put off by the potential insurance issues. Besides, is the difference in traction/performance/steering etc that great?

Limited experience on this but updating my old Chrysler it did take 10 mins or so during which time you should do or touch nothing. I think once upgraded (or partially upgraded) there's no going back without a dealer reflash. Were the upgrade DVD's (were there more than 1?) from ... ahem...

Sound. Don't know that specific tyre but have used Falken's on an XK8 before, good life and performance. You won't get a definitive answer on tyres as there are so many around to pick from. Best result is if you like 'em then they are perfect. Just shop around on price.

Thats a good point made about not buying like ... now, prices will be at a premium from any form of recognised dealer. Not sure if same is true of the private seller though.

Hard to say without sight of the system. The pressure relief valve should vent thru a pipe to outside as it can contain water. Whether you have a pipe or not, you will have a valve. Might be its faulty and venting air pressure and not water, as you keep topping it up. i.e if you left it...

Its a possibility tho' it would be a significant one. Have you bled all radiators starting furthest from boiler back? Is it individual micro bore pipework from the boiler by the way? The total water volume is not as much as you might think and a small leak might be the problem.
