Had a new gasket/head skim on my 2.5 n/a and then it did 50 mph, as it does now. How do i "tweek" the fuel injector pump....not heard of this, as i thought n/a were untwekable :) unionjak

The sludge "filter" is a clean and replace but the fuel filter is replacement every time. The problem with sludge filters is that the plastic bleed screw head snaps off so you have to replace it anyhow :)

Rip out any and all of the 24 volt stuff, its heavy and fairly useless and is really easy to get rid of....and no, unless you are brainless you wont (cant) get the 24 volt stuff confused with anything else. Enjoy your ffr, they are ace...even if it is a 2.5 n/a like mine :) Steve.

Will i find the sludge(sediment) filter between the fuel tank and the engine bay on the bottom of the 110 ex mod ffr 2.5 na ? 1986 steve

Going to replace fuel filter and empty sludge filter if i have one...do the cheapest fix first and hope it works

To old, as in if i put an engine that is by far more powerful in the 110 then all the other old bits will start to fail...making it a very expensive project. To be honest, i am more interested if there is anyone recommended near where i live...rather pay someone who is known than not :)

Thats ok spook, within a month mine needed a head gasket and reskim...seems ok now, if not a bit tappety...going in with the spanners to adjust the tappets, but am sure if you replace head gasket then the garage should have re adjusted them ?

Cheers storm, we are putting in loads of noise reduction elements, usual stuff in bonnet,footwells and all of the back will be done. Still ****ed myself at the seizures bit though, made me chuckle :)
