just had a shufty under my 52 reg td5. mine is also the same as yours but the plastic is still flexible. it could be a theory but it is not causing mine any probs..........atleast i am not aware of any.

on my 52 reg td5 it is in the rear off side, cant miss it its directly behind the wheel.

the up shot is look at the rubber bungs, the larger side needs to be on the outside ie nearest the window. i do accept paypal !!!!!
