i hope that the seal can be replaced on its own and it does not turn into a whole hub assembly change. it has only done 54k miles so would expect the bearing to be ok as this is a recent find.

mine only makes this noise if i allow the glow plugs to warm fully before starting. if i turn the key immediately without the glow plug light going out first, the noise does not happen.
