Do you need a 1.4 transfer box? Mines off my r380 300tdi gearbox? I got a 1.2 disco one now so mines up for sale?

Hi all, I took my prop shafts off during my rebuild and the ends came out on both! How do I re attach these? There is like a rubber boot? Do they need to go back on a special way? Please help with idiot guide lol

Get an orbital sander, take off as much old paint as you can, pay attention to the flaky/bubbled areas, give it 2-3 good coats of 2 pack primer, not rattle cans, invest in a compressor or pay a body shop to do it, rub that down and your good to go for paint that will last another 50 years if...

On the ash croft rebuilt gearbox you can pay extra to have a v8 5th gear added for an extra cost? Would this improve to speed or engine noise at causing speed? Worth its extra cost or is it a bit like a skirting board ladder?

What did use on the roof? Rattle cans or out of a tin and a roller? Why not wrap the roof? I imagine it would be a ball ache in the wind outside

got a bit more done today, cleaned some more of the block up, should have some paint on it this week, probably just gonna go black with the block and clean up the ally parts and maybe puff a bit of silver on them. Looks allright for 170k!

Yeh I seen autosparks, if I was doing standard equipment I was going to buy there standard 300tdi loom, seen a complete td5 loom on ebay, might give that a shot and buy the warning light label separate then work my way through it, ill see what a custom loom will cost but I can't see it being cheap!

Any links to a loom maker? I'm fitting a puma dash with custom clock set up using td5 clocks, figured td5 bulkhead loom would plug Into puma dash like hazard warning lights fog lights etc?

Some old guy turned up in a sprinter, they just say there needs to be 2 guys your end, delivery was £160+vat not sure, there is loads of mounting points for all sorts of stuff! More than my old one
