need to start fixing stuff, came home on one prop n i think that has a fubar uj... have to have a look at xfr box too... wouldnt come out of diff lok, took front prop off yo get home and light went out n wont come on again now... 700 miles of green lanes in wales might of been a bit too much...

well i checked the depth of the hole and it was a good 15mm deeper than the original bolt reached.. so i cut a length of threaded bar 1cm longer than the bolt plus the depth of a nut to go on the end... wound the bar in then put the nut on to hold the inlet manifold... it seems to have worked...

cheers fanatic.. was gonna do it today but ended up fixing my dads conservatory roof as the silly old bugger was trying to get up there himself, and fixing pvc covers over kitchen window sills instead.. mondays r always like this.. 80+ year old parents are a nightmare,

cheers fanatic... got the taps and drills.. i like to chase threads on studs and things that i cant replace with new.. was just wondering if there was enough metal around the hole to allow me to drill it oversized... dint wanna drill into an oil way or coolant jacket...

one of the bolts holding the inlet manifold on has fallen out.. its the lower one to the front of the injun.. when i put it back in it wont tighten up.. so guess the thread is stripped.. is it possible to just drill it a bit bigger and re tap it n put a bigger bolt in? or do i have to go...
